A: Create a video that can be understood through image and motion alone, without voiceover or onscreen copy
Goal:
Create an universal animated guide for safe carseat use using no onscreen copy or voiceover for new parents who may or may not speak English
My Role:
"Storyboarding, illustration, and 2D animation. I collaborated with the client and our art director to develop visuals to communicate proper installation and use of a carseat
Process Highlights:
Sketched the visuals to clearly communicate the message for approval to the art director
Storyboarded/illustrated based off the approved drawings in Adobe Illustrator for approval from the client
Animated the illustrations in Adobe After Effects to pass along to the editor for final assembly and approval from client
Result:
The largest childrens hospital in Minnesota, which serves many new residents who are still learning the language now has a valuable resource for new parents who may not speak English
Childrens Minnesota was able to share this resource with other hospitals and organizations working with new parents
Direct feedback in at least one case from a new residents from central America expressing their appreciation for this resource
